We can live the hope and joy of Easter every day of the year, but we come together as Christians to observe Easter once a year.
This time can be made even more meaningful by connecting with our Lord in prayer. Reflecting on and praying through the Bible verses from the Easter story can help us focus our hearts on God’s truth and priorities.
These 30 powerful Easter prayer points with scriptures are here to help you pray through the Easter season, with a free printable resource at the end of this post.
Use these Easter prayers and prayer points for your own devotionals, prayer time with your small group Bible study, or plan your own church’s prayer gathering with it as an outline.

Praying Bible Verses for Easter
Why should we pray for Easter? And why is it a good idea to pray Scripture for Easter?
Easter can be a date that comes and goes for many people. It doesn’t have quite as much activity or obligations as the Christmas season holds.
By adding a prayer focus to the Easter season, we can remember the magnitude of what our God did for us at Easter, appreciating what He continues to do in our lives.
By praying Scripture for Easter, we can dwell on God’s truth about Easter, what happened at the cross, and our relationship with Him right now.
You may want to pray through these throughout the Easter season. Some pray from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, while others pray through the season of Lent, starting on Ash Wednesday.
The printable at the end of this post has thirty prayer points and can be used as a month-long guide, with one prayer point for each day. Or you can pray through it as time allows. Use it as God leads you.
If you’re not familiar with the Easter story, you can read it HERE. This can help you understand more context about these prayer points.
30 Easter Prayer Points with Scriptures

There would be no need for Easter if we didn’t need a Savior! Our sin separates us from God. Pray through your need for a Savior.

Prayer Point: Pray that we will not trust in our own goodness, or despair in our own sin, but look to Jesus to save us.
